I'm a huge fan of "edgy" plushies. Granted, there are some out there that are over the top and eww-gross. This cute goth bunny by Leah Riley Woods is a great example of the "awww cute!" edgy plushies that look great!

"Stuffed" - awesome plushies magazine!
This isn't Teddy bears. "Stuffed" magazine focuses on modern plushies - soft sculptures that bend the rules, throw out the instruction manual, and take plushie making to a new level of creative!
